Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. The most well-known of her roles is Skyler White on her role on the AMC series Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014. Both awards were for Outstanding supporting actress in a Drama Series. Alongside her roles as Martha Bullock and Jean Ward as well, she was a part of The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in love with acting in Preparatory before moving her family to Ohio. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student through Northwestern University. Anna was a part of Chicago's theatre for several years, before taking on film and television roles. Anna's first big role was Arden, in Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. She continued to appear as the guest on a handful of TV shows and films, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue through the mid 1990's when she appeared in a regular role as Jean Ward in The Practice. In 2000, she was given the role of Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. In 2008, she was as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. She also starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn has also appeared on the stage in the David Schwimmer directed production of Sex With Strangers. Gunn played a part in the audio podcast of four parts drama Numbered days, which premiered in 2022. Breaking Bad's plot is typically about the relationship of Walter White, his wife Skyler as well as their uneasy relationship. The tension in their relationship and the its eventual ending resemble the final years in Walter White's life.
